As our first half term learning Spanish has drawn to a close, I must congratulate all of the children for their outstanding enthusiasm!
We have completed our studies of La Oruga Muy Hambrienta (The Very Hungry Caterpillar) and I hope you continue to commit the vocabulary learned to memory with the help of our new Spanish display board just outside our classroom!  It is currently under construction and will display all of the things we've been learning in KS2 along the left hand side.
I hope that your loved ones enjoyed their Valentine's Day cards we made using our new Spanish skills!  I saw many cards with loads of "abrazos y besos" (hugs and kisses) for madres, padres y otra familia (mothers, fathers and other family) as well as compliments for those that chose to write a thoughtful card to a friend.  We came up with many ideas for something nice to write for an "amigo/amiga" (friend) such as "te mejor" (you're the best) and "tu maravilloso/maravillosa" (you're special).  Remember the rule, if you're speaking to a girl the noun ends with "a" and if you're speaking to a boy it ends with "o".
Looking forward to teaching you all kinds of new things en espanol when we return next week!
Hasta luego (bye for now)!
